Hope After the Storm
A 21+ community celebration of relief, resilience, and hope—supporting breast cancer awareness, Northwest Indiana storm recovery, and local families through Garden Blessings.
Tickets are now available through SimpleTix. Ticket purchases are separate from apparel orders and assistance requests.
Northwest Indiana households continue to absorb storm-related costs long after immediate food-replacement efforts and public giveaways end. Residents in Gary, Merrillville, and East Chicago have reported prolonged outages, spoiled food, temporary lodging costs, lost work time, and electrical repairs that may fall outside utility responsibility. By late October, many families may no longer be in the emergency news cycle, but they are still rebuilding.
Why Hope After the Storm
Hope After the Storm was created for a community that has weathered both literal and emotional storms. This event also recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the families navigating another kind of storm. The evening is designed to give people room to breathe, dance, connect, honor survival, and help neighbors move forward with dignity.
Patricia's Garden of Hope
Patricia's Garden of Hope is a purpose-driven community experience bringing hope, compassion, connection, and practical support together in one welcoming environment. The Inaugural Garden recognizes Breast Cancer Awareness Month while supporting Northwest Indiana families recovering from prolonged power outages. It is designed to grow and serve people facing other life-changing experiences in the future.
Garden Blessings: Practical Help With Dignity
Our goal is to provide 10 Garden Blessings assistance awards of up to $500 each—five for qualified storm-recovery applicants and five for applicants experiencing breast cancer-related hardship. Awards will depend on the amount of designated sponsorship funding received and completion of the application and impartial review process.
Proceeds from Hope After the Storm apparel sales help fund event production. Sponsorship support designated for Garden Blessings helps fund assistance for selected recipients.
Admission and assistance are separate. No apparel purchase, payment, sponsorship, or event attendance is required to apply for assistance.
